Vimmi Jaggi—Licensed Clinical Social Worker #75673—has been working in the field of mental health and trauma-informed psychotherapeutic services for the past 12+ years. With a background in art, theater/film and substance abuse counseling, social work came like a serendipity in Vimmi's life. As a South Asian immigrant born and raised in India, Vimmi's work has been mostly impacted by her own community within Southern California and from experiencing life within and without South Asia. Vimmi offers services in Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu and English languages and works with adults, couples and the adolescent population from diverse religious and ethnic backgrounds within South Asian communities.
Vimmi deeply believes in working to assist patients in reflecting and digging deep within, in order to learn our own patterns so we are able to break the cycle that disables us. Sometimes these cycles are amassed for generations and sometimes our current circumstances originate from them. Whatever the way we get used to these patterns, there is always a way out. Therapy is a space to share, learn, dig deep and find ways that help us live a healthier version of ourselves by breaking such maladaptive patterns. Learning to love ourselves, offering a kind and gentle compassionate approach to self is one of the best ways to help us grow, no matter what we have gone through. There is hope. I wish to work together to help you find these hopes and choices.
